Level 4 is a four, but it starts at zero.
The number is about the size of the piece, not how much you need to know. Brushstroke Mandalas begins with your very first stroke on paper and builds to wall pieces of 16 to 48 inches. You do not need Levels 1 to 3 first, and most people who take it haven't.
